Al-Qadisiyah Enters Race to Sign Chelsea's Young Star Santos
Sunday 07-09-2025
The Saudi club Al-Qadisiyah has made an official offer to English club Chelsea to sign the promising Brazilian midfielder Andre Santos, marking one of the most significant moves in this summer's transfer market.

Reports indicate that Santos, who is 20 years old, has caught the attention of several clubs outside Europe after his impressive performance during his loan spell at Strasbourg, a French club owned by the 'Blue Co' group.

The player joined Chelsea as one of the most promising talents emerging from Brazil, and he has participated in three matches in the English Premier League this season, totaling just 48 minutes of play without starting a match.

Despite his limited appearances, Italian coach Enzo Maresca believes that Santos is an important part of Chelsea's future project and has urged the management to keep him and reject any offers for his departure.

According to the BBC, the Saudi offer amounts to approximately £59.5 million, including an attractive salary that exceeds what the player currently earns, in an attempt to persuade him to embark on a new experience in the Roshen League.

However, the player has not fully embraced the idea of leaving, as he aspires to secure his place in the Brazil national team under Carlo Ancelotti in preparation for the 2026 World Cup, while Chelsea's position remains firm in refusing to sell him.

The Mirror newspaper noted that Al-Qadisiyah is not the only club interested in Santos's services, but their offer was the largest and most serious; however, the Blues' management is still committed to giving him more time to gain experience before he becomes a key figure in the midfield.
