Ahmed Bilal Comments on Imad Al-Nahas's Appointment as Al-Ahly Coach
Ahmed Bilal, the former star of Al-Ahly, praised the appointment of Imad Al-Nahas as the new head coach of Al-Ahly, succeeding Jose Ribeiro.
Bilal said during the program "L'abe wa't-taniya" on Mega FM radio: "The choice of Imad Al-Nahas is very successful, and he knows every detail about the team at this time. This is a critical period, and Imad Al-Nahas has proven successful with Al-Ahly in his first term, and I hope the experience continues until next November."
He added: "I hope to take time to choose a head coach who knows every detail, and that he comes during the break so he can be held accountable in case of setbacks. Big teams cannot afford failed experiments with coaches and cannot tolerate more than three failures."
He continued: "I am completely against the choice of Pitso Mosimane and was against the choice of Ribeiro. The experience of Al-Ahly is better than searching for a coach who works in African teams, but there is no one stronger than the club to choose a coach from a lesser team in Africa. Failer is an ideal choice for Al-Ahly or a European school coach who plays for championships."
