Turkish player Yusuf Akcicik, the new player for Saudi Al-Hilal, praised his former coach at Fenerbahçe, José Mourinho, confirming that he is the reason for his brilliance.

Al-Hilal signed Akcicik coming from Turkish Fenerbahçe on a contract that extends for 4 seasons.

Akcicik stated in remarks to the club's media center: "I succeeded in showing a wonderful performance last season with Fenerbahçe, as playing with the first team was a dream I had since I was a child in the academy."

He added: "The credit goes to Mourinho, who believed in my talent and included me in many difficult matches; he is like a father to me in football, and I thank him a lot for what he has done for me."

Regarding his joining Al-Hilal, the player said: "It's a wonderful opportunity, and I am very happy to be playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world, and my goal is to achieve all possible championships in the upcoming period."

He continued: "I know that Al-Hilal competes for all titles, as evidenced by their match against Real Madrid in the final of the 2022 Club World Cup and eliminating Man City in the last edition of the World Cup."

He added: "Playing at this club is a great thing because I will be alongside great players and an excellent coach like Simone Inzaghi."

He concluded: "I promise the fans to give my all to make them happy, and as I said, my goal will always be to win and achieve titles."
