The Truth About Al-Ahly's Negotiations to Sign Gomes
The Saudi Al-Fateh Club denied the existence of negotiations from the Egyptian Al-Ahly with the team’s coach, José Gomes.
Mohammed Al-Daif, the media center director at Al-Fateh Club, stated in television remarks: "José Gomes is continuing with the team, and there is no truth to his departure in the near future."
He added: "No club has contacted us regarding the signing of the coach, and everything mentioned in the press is just rumors, and has no validity. Everyone at Al-Fateh is currently focused on the Saudi Professional League competition."
Al-Ahly recently dismissed its coach, José Ribeiro, due to poor results.
