The Italian club Roma announced through its official website the signing of Greek international defender Kostas Tsimikas from English club Liverpool on loan during the summer transfer window of 2025.

The 29-year-old left-back, born in Thessaloniki on May 12, 1996, began his football career in the youth sectors of Neapolis Thessaloniki and Panserraikos, before moving to Olympiacos where he made his professional debut in 2015.

In January 2017, Tsimikas moved to Danish club Esbjerg on loan, before spending a full season with Dutch club Willem II in 2017/2018, during which he participated in 33 matches in the Eredivisie.

He then returned to Olympiacos and continued to shine until 2020, when he was awarded the title of Best Player in Greece, earning him the opportunity to join Liverpool, where he spent five successful seasons, participating in 115 matches across various competitions, contributing to winning the Premier League title, the FA Cup, the EFL Cup twice, and the Community Shield.

Tsimikas has 41 international caps with the Greek national team and is the eighth Greek player to wear the Giallorossi jersey, having chosen to wear the number 12 shirt with the Italian capital club.
