Sunday 31-08-2025
The Moroccan international Ilyas Ben Sir arrived in Germany today, Saturday, in preparation for his official transfer to Bayer Leverkusen, coming from the French club Monaco, after both clubs reached a final agreement on the details of the deal during the current summer transfer window.

The account "BILD B. Leverkusen" on the platform "X" published photos of the Moroccan star's arrival in Germany, in preparation for undergoing a medical examination before signing his new contract with the German team.

According to "Sky Germany", the value of the deal is approximately 30 million euros, with the player's contract with Leverkusen set to extend for five years, in a move that reflects the club's desire to strengthen its attacking line following the departure of Moroccan international Amin Adli to Bournemouth in England.

Ben Sir, who is 20 years old, is expected to be one of the important attacking assets for Leverkusen as they seek to compete for titles both domestically and continentally, especially after the levels he showcased with Monaco during the 2022-2023 season, before his performance saw some decline last season.

Ben Sir is considered one of the most prominent rising talents in European football, as he is under contract with Monaco until the summer of 2027, and he has played 11 international matches with the Moroccan national team, scoring 3 goals, and he also won a bronze medal with the Olympic team at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
