Arsenal faced a fresh blow at the start of their match against Liverpool at Anfield, during the third round of the Premier League, after French defender William Saliba suffered an injury in the fifth minute.

The injury occurred following a collision with Liverpool striker Hugo Ekitike, as Saliba fell to the ground and appeared to be in significant pain before signaling clearly to the coaching staff for a substitution.

The player left the field on his own feet, but signs of distress were evident on him, with defender Mosquera coming on as an early forced substitution.

This injury adds to Arsenal's struggles with injuries, despite the season still being in its early stages, echoing last season's scenario which saw significant absences that hindered the team's progress.
