Blanc Reveals Al-Ittihad's Stance on New Signings

The French coach Laurent Blanc, the head coach of Al-Ittihad, clarified the club's intention regarding new signings before the end of the current summer transfer window, following the early exit from the Saudi Super Cup.

Blanc confirmed during the press conference that the coaching staff is still in the process of evaluating the team's needs, indicating that this matter is subject to ongoing discussion, which is a normal stance for any coach who finds themselves in a similar situation.

Regarding Al-Ittihad's preparations in the past period, the French coach explained that the training camp was of a high standard, both during the preparatory phase held in Jeddah and through participation in the Super Cup.

Blanc spoke about the team's match against Al-Akhidood in the first round of the Roshen League, indicating that the team was able to impose its style of play for long periods, successfully scoring five goals and creating many dangerous opportunities.

He pointed out that the most notable positive aspect of the match was the attacking strength displayed, while the negative aspect was conceding two goals, emphasizing that the defense needed to be more solid to avoid such mistakes.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Ittihad managed to win against Al-Akhidood with a score of five goals to two, in the match held at the Prince Hadhlul bin Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium, as part of the opening matches of the 2025-2026 season of the Saudi Roshen League.
