The Roshen League Ignores Al-Nassr's Request
Al-Nassr received a shock after the Saudi League Association ignored its request to postpone the match against Al-Taawoun in the opening of the Roshen Professional League, scheduled for next Friday evening.
The Al-Nassr management had sent an official letter to the association, requesting a change in the match date to allow the players some rest after participating in the Saudi Super Cup in Hong Kong.
The Al-Nassr team participated in the tournament held from August 19 to 23, reaching the final but losing the title to Al-Ahli in a penalty shootout 5-3 after a 2-2 draw in regular time.
Despite the submitted request, Al-Nassr did not receive any official response from the organizing body, which means that the match will be held at its scheduled time, increasing the match congestion for the team members.
Al-Nassr will begin its journey in the new season of the Saudi league by facing Al-Taawoun, with the match starting at 9 PM on Friday, in a tough test for the start of its local season.
