The Italian club Cremonese continues its serious efforts to sign English striker Jamie Vardy, in an attempt to reach an agreement with the former Leicester City star.

According to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Cremonese is working to convince Vardy, who has played 500 matches in the Foxes' jersey, to take on a new challenge in Serie A.

In a related context, striker Faris Mombanga is scheduled to undergo medical examinations on Wednesday, August 27, in preparation for his joining the team, after his expected arrival in the city on the evening of Tuesday, August 26.

The club hopes to finalize the Vardy deal in the coming days to strengthen the attacking line with the experience of the English striker, especially with the summer transfer window approaching its closure.
