Cremonese Decides Not to Activate Purchase Option for Terracciano

Monday 01-06-2026
Cremonese club decided not to activate the option to buy the Italian defender Filippo Terracciano from Milan, so the player will return to the Rossoneri at the start of the preparations for the new season this summer.

Terracciano joined Cremonese in the summer of 2025 on loan from Milan, as part of a deal that included a purchase option valued between 3.5 and 4 million euros, with conditions tied to the club's status and results during the season.

Despite the player receiving significant playing time throughout the season and regularly participating in several matches, the Cremonese management preferred not to proceed with converting the loan into a permanent transfer, meaning the player will officially return to the Lombardy club during the current summer transfer window.

Milan signed Terracciano from Hellas Verona at the beginning of 2024 on a long-term contract, as the club considered him one of the young talents capable of developing in multiple defensive positions due to his tactical flexibility and ability to play as a full-back or center-back.

The next step remains tied to the technical management's decision at Milan regarding the player's future, whether to give him a chance within the new season's project, seek a new loan, or a permanent transfer to another club during the transfer market.

After spending a season with Cremonese, Filippo Terracciano returns to Milan once again, as the club chose not to activate the purchase clause of 4 million euros.
