Football coach Safa Adnan made special statements to 'Al-Rabia Sports', during which he talked about the reality of Iraqi football and the preparations underway for the national team before the Asian playoff qualifying for the 2026 World Cup, in addition to the administrative issues within the federation.

He said: "Sending complaints to the Asian federation and FIFA is absolutely unhealthy, as it does not serve the interests of Iraqi football and negatively impacts the reputation of our football institutions."

He added: "I see that the Center for Settlement and Arbitration is the beginning of the solutions, and it can be considered the first step towards ending these recurring conflicts between clubs and the federation."

He continued: "There is a lot of talk about the national team being a priority, but from my point of view, the team did not receive a good preparation period for the Asian playoff, and this matter is primarily the responsibility of the football federation."

Safa Adnan concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the upcoming phase requires calm and administrative stability, alongside providing an ideal environment that helps the national team present its best in the upcoming international commitments.
