Kante's Agent Attacks the Union Administration and Reveals Details of the Controversial Renewal File
Sunday 24-08-2025
Abdul Karim Douis, the agent of French star N'Golo Kante, the midfielder for Al-Ittihad, clarified the latest developments regarding the negotiations for his client's contract renewal with the club, indicating that the way the administration is handling the matter could provoke the fans' anger.

Douis pointed out that the Union administration has not yet taken any serious steps regarding the renewal, despite Kante's contract expiring in the summer of 2026, which puts the player on the brink of entering the free agency period starting next January.

The player's agent added in statements reported by the "Al-Riyadhiah" newspaper that Union officials are trying to avoid facing the fans' reactions, considering that their approach to managing the file aims to protect themselves from potential criticism.

He continued, saying: "I believe that the Union administration is trying to follow a strategy similar to playing a game; they know that opening the renewal file is a normal matter, especially since the norm is to start negotiations a year before the contract expires."

Kante joined the ranks of Al-Ittihad in July 2023, and since then he has become one of the essential pillars in the team's midfield, yet uncertainty still surrounds his future with the club before the new season begins.
