Al-Hazm Club, which recently returned to the Saudi Pro League, is close to reaching a final agreement with Syrian striker Omar Al-Soma, after agreeing on most of the local and contractual terms between the two parties.

Al-Soma is considered one of the top scorers in the history of the Saudi league, as informed sources revealed that he received attractive offers from Iraqi clubs; however, his desire to continue in Saudi football tipped the scales in favor of his transfer to Al-Hazm.

This move comes after Al-Soma's impressive performance last season with Al-Orouba Club, which drew attention to him and prompted Al-Hazm to expedite negotiations to strengthen their attacking line.

The Syrian striker also aims to continue his journey in the Saudi league to enhance his scoring record and pursue the title of the league's all-time top scorer, which serves as an additional motivation for him to join the newly promoted team.

It is worth mentioning that Al-Soma had a brief experience with Wydad Casablanca following the end of his previous contract, before he exited the FIFA Club World Cup with them from the group stage.
