Dani Rodriguez is close to leaving Barcelona
Tuesday 19-08-2025
Barcelona is nearing the completion of a deal to sell its young winger Dani Rodriguez to Celta Vigo, with a buy-back option in the future, as part of the club's recent moves to create room in their salary cap before the transfer market closes.

Valencia had shown interest in loaning the player, but Barcelona preferred the sale option while retaining the right to re-sign him in the future. Reports indicate that Celta Vigo has taken the lead in the race after making serious moves in recent days.

Rodriguez, who joined Barcelona in the 2020/2021 season from Real Sociedad, shone with the B team, scoring 3 goals, and made his first appearance with the first team last season against Real Valladolid before suffering a collarbone injury that hindered his development.

Despite receiving offers from other clubs like Rayo Vallecano, the player's future seems to be leaning towards the La Liga with Celta Vigo, especially given the difficulty of securing playing time with the first team this season due to the presence of prominent names like Rashford and Bardji.

It is noted that the player recently received partial medical clearance to return to training, awaiting his return to the pitch soon.
