The absence of Portuguese Rafael Liao, winger of AC Milan, from the team's match against Cremonese in the first round of the Italian league has been confirmed, following a muscle injury.

According to reliable journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Liao suffered a muscle strain in his right calf during the match against Bari in the Coppa Italia, where he scored the first goal in the 14th minute, before leaving the field two minutes later due to the injury.

The player will miss the match against Cremonese, while his condition will be evaluated daily before Milan's match against Lecce, scheduled for August 29.

Liao's absence represents a blow to coach Massimiliano Allegri at the beginning of his journey with Milan this season, especially since the player is considered one of the key pillars in the team's attacking line.
