Al Ahly Files Complaint Against Referee of Farco Match Due to Mohamed Hani's Red Card
Al Ahly club has submitted an official complaint to the Football Association against Mohamed Marouf, the referee of the Farco match, due to the red card issued to Mohamed Hani, a player of Al Ahly.
The Al Ahly administration believes that the red card was not justified as Mohamed Hani did not intend to waste time.
The Al Ahly administration clarified in its complaint that the moment Hani was substituted came in the last minute of the match, with the team leading 4-0, which completely negates any motive to waste time.
The club added that Mohamed Hani, as the team captain, was obliged to hand over the captain's armband to one of his teammates while leaving the field, which he did by passing it to the nearest player next to him, in a natural manner without delaying the game; however, the referee considered that the player was deliberately wasting time and issued a red card.
Al Ahly emphasized in its complaint that what happened will affect the club in upcoming matches due to Hani's absence from participating with the team.
