The Al-Ahli club is close to finalizing the loan deal for goalkeeper Ahmed Al-Ruhaili from Al-Ettifaq for one season, as part of its efforts to strengthen the goalkeeper position ahead of the new season 2025-2026.

According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah", an agreement has been reached between Al-Ahli and Al-Ettifaq on all details, allowing Al-Ruhaili to return to his former team Al-Ahli Jeddah during the current summer transfer window.

Al-Ruhaili is 30 years old and had joined Al-Nassr on loan last January, before returning to Al-Ettifaq at the end of the last season without officially participating in any matches.

Al-Ruhaili is a product of Al-Ahli club, having progressed through its youth categories until he reached the first team, then he moved to Al-Raed in 2017, initially on loan before the deal turned into a permanent transfer.

In 2024, Al-Ruhaili signed with Al-Ettifaq, but he did not play any official matches with the team, leaving in the second half of last season to Al-Nassr on loan.
