The Gledan Deal Ends Al-Fateh's Financial Crisis
Friday 15-08-2025
The management of Al-Fateh Club hastened to invest in the deal of selling the contract of Ahmed Gledan to Al-Ittihad, which exceeded 40 million riyals, in order to settle the financial issues that prevented the club from registering new players.

The management is currently working on closing the files of former coach Bilc and Armenian player Zilayan with FIFA, in addition to settling the outstanding dues owed to Al-Hilal Club, in a step aimed at clearing the debts related to football.

The management has also begun its efforts to obtain approval for registering new players, among whom are goalkeeper Amin Bukhari, Sattam Timbakti, and Faisal Darsi, while some foreign players received alternative offers, prompting them to leave before the crisis was resolved.

The team continues its camp in Spain in preparation for the new season, where it will face Ordino and Santa Coloma from Andorra, following a heavy loss of five goals to Atletico Madrid's reserve team, and the absence of Hussein Qassem due to injury for two months.

Al-Fateh is known for its policy of selling the contracts of its stars as a main source of income, as the Gledan deal represented the 17th transaction in its history in the Professional League, after the departure of prominent names to Al-Nassr, Al-Ahli, and Al-Ittihad, while Al-Hilal remained the least benefited from its talents.
