The Brazilian Casemiro, midfielder for Manchester United, has chosen the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah as his favorite candidate to win the Ballon d'Or this year, affirming that he deserves the award.
Casemiro said in a video interview: "For me, the Ballon d'Or is for Mohamed Salah. He is the best player! He scores a lot of goals and provides many assists."
He added: "The most balanced player last season was Salah, as he delivered an exceptional performance at all levels."
It is worth noting that Paris Saint-Germain star Ousmane Dembélé and Barcelona's Lamine Yamal are among the top candidates for the 2025 Ballon d'Or.
