Roma Makes Official Offer to Manchester United for Sancho
Reports indicate that Italian club Roma has made an official offer to Manchester United for the signing of English international winger Jadon Sancho, in a move that precedes Juventus, who were also interested in acquiring the player.
According to 'Football Italy', the offer has reached Manchester United's management and is currently under consideration. The deal may take place on loan, which would require extending the player's contract with the Red Devils first for the deal to become legal.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano clarified that the deal is estimated at €23 million and could be a loan with an obligation to buy later, while Manchester United initially requested €25 million.
It is worth noting that Sancho returned to Manchester United after a loan period at Chelsea last season, but he does not fit into the plans of Portuguese coach Ruben Amorim, with his contract expiring in June 2026.
Juventus had reached an agreement with the player on personal terms, but the Italian club changed direction and focused on other targets in the transfer market.
In addition to Roma, other clubs have shown interest in signing Sancho, such as Besiktas, Inter Milan, and Borussia Dortmund, but the Italian capital club seems to be the most serious in its pursuit of the player so far.
Sancho is considered an ideal option for coach Gian Piero Gasperini's plans, who relies on a three-man attack, as the English player can efficiently occupy the right or left winger position.
