Ousmane Dembélé, Paris Saint-Germain player, expressed his great happiness after his team's victory in the UEFA Super Cup 2025, following a win over Tottenham Hotspur in a penalty shootout 4-3, after the regular time ended in a 2-2 draw.

Dembélé said: "It was a tough match for us, being a final and at the beginning of the season. We were two goals down, but we told ourselves that there was still time to come back, and we focused on scoring a goal to bring us back into the game."

He added: "Luis Enrique made impactful changes that gave us new energy, and they were effective on the pitch. When we equalized and the match went to penalties, I anticipated that Lucas Chouffalier would save a penalty and that the team would win."

He continued: "Lucas Chouffalier is a strong goalkeeper, and what happened is like a scripted scenario; he makes his debut with the team and leads them to win a major title. It’s something very special."

Dembélé concluded his statements by saying: "We just returned to training a week ago, and now we are Super Cup champions. We ended last season with five titles after a wonderful season, and that is exceptional, but we will not stop; we want to achieve more titles."
