The Italian club AC Milan officially announced on its website the signing of Belgian defender Koni De Winter from Genoa, in a permanent transfer deal that extends until June 30, 2030.

Koni De Winter, born in Antwerp, Belgium, on June 12, 2002, began his career in the youth teams of Lierse and Zulte Waregem, before moving to Juventus in 2018, where he played with the youth teams and the reserve team, making his first appearance with Juventus's first team in a Champions League match against Chelsea on November 23.

After a successful loan spell with Empoli, De Winter transferred to Genoa permanently, where he played 57 matches and scored 3 goals over two seasons.

In March 2024, he was called up for the first time to represent the Belgium national team, and he participated in his first international match against the Republic of Ireland.

Koni De Winter is set to wear the number 5 jersey with the Rossoneri, and this significant deal cost AC Milan's treasury 20 million euros.
