The Portuguese club Benfica is still holding on to the hope of signing Algerian star Anis Haj Moussa during the current summer transfer window, despite previous negotiation setbacks.

According to the Portuguese newspaper Record, the deal that would have taken the player to Lisbon seemed to have stalled, but Benfica's management believes that Haj Moussa may reconsider his decision if his team, Feyenoord from the Netherlands, fails to qualify for the Champions League.

The same source indicated that Feyenoord is not willing to easily part with their Algerian striker, except in the case of a lucrative financial offer that satisfies the club's management.

Haj Moussa has been performing remarkably with the Dutch team, making him a target for several prominent European clubs looking to sign him this summer.
