
Fenerbahçe Qualifies for the Champions League Playoffs
Turkish Fenerbahçe achieved a significant victory over their Dutch guest Feyenoord with a score of 5-2, in the second leg of the third qualifying round for the Champions League, noting that the first leg ended with Feyenoord winning 2-1.
The visitors took the lead first through Tsuyoshi Watanabe in the 41st minute, but Fenerbahçe's response was quick with a double in the 44th minute by Archie Brown and in the 45+2 minute by John Duran.
In the second half, Brazilian Fred strengthened the score with the third goal in the 55th minute, before Youssef En-Nesyri scored the fourth goal in the 83rd minute.
Feyenoord scored a second goal through Watanabe in the 89th minute, while Talisca added the fifth goal in stoppage time (90+5).
With this victory, Fenerbahçe qualified for the playoff round leading to the Champions League group stage.
