Union Decides on Rajkovic's Future Before the New Season
The management of the Saudi Union Club has decided to keep Serbian goalkeeper Predrag Rajkovic within the team, thus ending the speculation about his future during the current summer transfer period.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Youm" confirmed that the Union management does not intend to part ways with Rajkovic and is not considering signing a foreign replacement goalkeeper in this transfer window, which underscores the club's confidence in his abilities.
Rajkovic joined the Union last summer from Spanish club Real Mallorca in a deal worth around 8 million euros, to strengthen the goalkeeper position.
The Serbian goalkeeper is currently undergoing an intensive treatment and rehabilitation program following an injury he sustained at the end of last season, which kept him from participating with the team in the final matches.
The Union management aims to physically and technically prepare Rajkovic as soon as possible to ensure his return to the starting lineup at the beginning of the new season, amid the team's great ambitions in all competitions.
