Reports.. The Failure of Mustafa Mohamed's Transfer Deal to Neom
Tuesday 05-08-2025
The rigidity of the management of French club Nantes regarding their financial demands has led to a sudden halt in negotiations for the transfer of Egyptian striker Mustafa Mohamed to Saudi club Neom, despite the player's initial agreement with the new club.

According to what was reported by the newspaper "Africafoot", Nantes conditioned a sum of 10 million dollars in exchange for releasing Mustafa, in addition to a percentage of future resale, which was not met with acceptance from Neom, which offered only 5 million euros.

Mustafa Mohamed, 27 years old, has expressed a clear desire to experience a new challenge in the Saudi league, after sensing Neom's seriousness in acquiring him, but his French club's insistence on its conditions has delayed the official announcement of the deal.

Mustafa is considered one of the key targets that Neom sought to include to support its new project, alongside other names such as Ahmed Hegazi and Alexandre Lacazette, but the failure of the deal has been described as a setback for the ambitious project.

On the other hand, Neom has successfully signed several prominent players, including Nathan Zézé, Mustafa's teammate at Nantes, in addition to Marcin Bułka, Amadou Koné, and Fares Abadi, under the guidance of coach Christophe Galtier.

Despite the setback in the deal, the possibility of its revival remains if the positions of the involved parties change, either through Nantes reducing its demands or Neom increasing the value of its offer, especially since the player is still eager to take on the Saudi experience.
