Moroccan international Osama Al-Azzouzi is nearing a change in his professional career during the ongoing summer transfer window, after Auxerre expressed a serious desire to sign him on loan from Bologna.

The French newspaper L'Équipe revealed that the Moroccan player is dissatisfied with his situation within the Italian team, especially after being confined to the bench in the second half of the season due to an injury that sidelined him for a long time.

The same source added that Al-Azzouzi showed interest in Auxerre's project, and a preliminary agreement has been reached between the two parties to complete the deal in the coming days.

Al-Azzouzi hopes this experience will allow him to regain match rhythm and enhance his chances of being included in the Moroccan national team's roster for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

The player shone at the beginning of his career with Bologna, having played 27 matches and contributed to four goals through assists and scoring, before an injury hindered him from completing the season at the same pace.
