Spanish newspaper "AS" revealed that Tottenham Hotspur has entered negotiations to sign Brazilian star Rodrigo, winger of Real Madrid, during the current summer transfer window.

According to the report, Rodrigo has fallen out of favor with his coach Xabi Alonso due to the crowded attacking line in the royal team, prompting Spurs management to seek permission from Real Madrid to open negotiations with the player.

The report also indicated that the entry of a new investor into Tottenham has revitalized the club's financial situation, allowing them to move towards significant signings to strengthen the team's ranks, especially after winning the Europa League title last season.

Tottenham is keen to sign an impactful attacking player, while Real Madrid's management has set a price of 90 million euros for Rodrigo's sale. Meanwhile, Tottenham's chairman is looking to negotiate a price reduction to finalize the deal.

Rodrigo is 24 years old, and his contract with Real Madrid ends in June 2028. He has participated in 270 matches for the team, scoring 68 goals and providing 51 assists.
