Amr El Solia: The 2020 African Champions League is the most important for me with Al Ahly
Amr El Solia, the former Al Ahly star, confirmed that the 2020 African Champions League is the most important for him in his career with Al Ahly.
El Solia joined Ceramica Cleopatra during the current summer transfer window in a free transfer deal.
El Solia said in statements via ON Sport Radio: "I see that my move to Ceramica Cleopatra is very important for me because it is a big club, and hopefully, I will help the team achieve its goals in the new season."
He added: "I spent more than 9 years at Al Ahly, and I see it as a successful journey during which I achieved everything in terms of championships and records, but the most important thing is winning the love of Al Ahly fans."
He continued: "I was keen to give everything until my last day with Al Ahly, because I am used to focusing on my work, setting a clear goal in front of me, and working to achieve it, regardless of whether I play as a starter or not."
He added: "The negotiations with Ceramica went quickly, and there was a great welcome from Ali Maher, the team's coach, and my conversation with Saad Samir helped me take this step."
He added: "The 2020 African Champions League final (the decisive match) against Zamalek is the most important for me with Al Ahly."
He concluded: "Ali Maaloul has given everything to Al Ahly, and he deserves appreciation and respect. He was one of the closest players to me, and I still keep in touch with him."
