Atlético Madrid announced that it has reached an agreement with the Dutch club Feyenoord regarding the transfer of Slovak defender David Hanko to its ranks, pending the player passing the necessary medical examinations and signing his new contract.

Hanko, born in the city of Prievidza in 1997, is an international player for the Slovakia national team. The defender stands 1.88 meters tall and began his professional career with MŠK Žilina in 2016. In 2018, he moved to Fiorentina in Italy, before having a stint with Sparta Prague, and then joining Feyenoord in 2022.

After his remarkable performance with the Dutch team, Hanko will become a player for the Rojiblancos as soon as he completes the medical examinations and officially signs the contract.

Hanko was on the verge of transferring to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia before the deal collapsed and the player joined Atlético Madrid for 30 million euros.
