The Turkish star Hakan Çalhanoğlu broke his silence after his disagreement with Inter captain Lautaro Martinez, as well as the rumors linking him to a departure from the Italian club this summer.

Hakan said upon arriving at Inter's training headquarters: "My vacation was not easy due to many circumstances; I continued to prepare even during the break, and I am now in my best shape. I am very happy to be back; I missed everyone... and now I want to start working."

Regarding the rumors of his departure: "Every year, transfer rumors spread, but this summer they increased a bit. However, I didn't say anything because I wanted our fans to see that I returned: it is not always right to make statements. Of course, I am happy to be back; I am an Inter player and I want to continue here."

As for renewing his contract: "Let's hope and see what happens, but my goal is to win here."

He concluded about his disagreement with Lautaro after the latter's remarks against him: "We talked: we are professionals, there is no problem. When the captain returns, I will embrace him. He is on vacation now, and that is true. Our minds were preoccupied. Today, we are all more relaxed and looking forward to the future."
