Juventus Approaches Sancho Deal Supported by Player Sales
The Italian club Juventus continues its negotiations with Manchester United to sign English winger Jadon Sancho during the current summer transfer window, with the player welcoming the move to the Old Lady.
Sancho spent last season on loan at Chelsea with a mandatory purchase clause, but the London club decided not to activate it, returning him to Manchester United, which is looking to offload him this summer. United has agreed to reduce the player's price from €25 million to €17 million to facilitate the deal.
According to the Italian newspaper 'Tuttosport', Juventus's negotiations have reached advanced stages, and the club hopes to finalize the deal officially by July 24. At the same time, Juventus is working on selling duo Samuel Mbangula and Timothy Weah to raise the necessary funds.
Mbangula is expected to join Werder Bremen in Germany, while Weah is close to transferring to Olympique Marseille in France, allowing Juventus to complete the Sancho deal, whose contract with Manchester United runs until the summer of 2026.
