Real Madrid held a farewell ceremony today, Thursday, for the Spanish star Lucas Vazquez, who is leaving the royal club after many years wearing the team's jersey, during which he achieved numerous accomplishments.

Perez said during Vazquez's farewell ceremony: "Macarena, Lucas's wife, his children, his parents, his brother Mateo, Mbappe and Lunin, welcome to the city of Real Madrid. I always say that Madrid is a big family, and our players are the bearers of Real Madrid's values who have built one of the greatest sporting legacies. We are European champions 15 times, to be part of this generation is to be part of the best club in the world."

He added: "Among those players who have given their all and conveyed the club's values, one of our most prominent players, today is the right time to thank Lucas Vazquez for everything he has done for Real Madrid."

He continued: "Lucas, you were an example of what a Real Madrid player should be: dedication and camaraderie, a player who put the interests of the club above everything else. You arrived at the age of 16. You are leaving to continue growing, and today marks the end of a period that made you one of the legends of the club."

He concluded: "You are the sixth most successful player in Real Madrid's history in terms of titles, you are now part of our club's history, but behind all these titles, for all of us, you represent the example that all young players in this club should aspire to."

He finished: "Your role in integrating young players, your respect... you are the hero of that endless journey in search of the eleventh Champions League in San Siro, you have spent half your life at Real Madrid; thank you for giving so much to Real Madrid. You will always remain one of us. As president, I am proud to have a player like you. Real Madrid will always remain your home."
