James Mekati, the young Manchester City player, has become a candidate for a transfer to the German club Eintracht Frankfurt during the current summer transfer window, ahead of the new season, as he seeks an opportunity for regular participation.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Mekati arrived in Frankfurt in the past hours to meet with the club and learn about its project as a potential player within the team. Romano explained that the player is evaluating his options before making a final decision to leave City.

Mekati, who is 21 years old, participated in 27 matches with Manchester City across various competitions last season, scoring 7 goals, including 3 in the Premier League, without any assists.

Earlier reports from English media revealed Mekati's desire to leave City due to the difficulty of getting enough playing minutes under coach Pep Guardiola.
