AC Milan has entered into negotiations with Real Madrid to explore the possibility of signing left-back Fran Garcia during the current summer transfer window, to compensate for the departure of French star Theo Hernandez to Al Hilal.

Al Hilal announced the signing of Hernandez this summer for 25 million euros, prompting the Rossoneri management to act quickly to find a replacement on the left side, with Garcia emerging as one of the top candidates to strengthen Milan's squad, according to Spanish network "Defensa Central."

Fran Garcia played a key role for Real Madrid in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, showing impressive form under coach Xabi Alonso. However, the player faces strong competition for his position with the presence of Ferland Mendy and the recent approach to sign Álvaro Carreiras from Benfica.

Garcia is known for his high fitness level and absence of serious injuries, along with his annual salary of 2.5 million euros, making him an economically viable option for Milan. Garcia's contract with Real Madrid runs until the summer of 2028, and his market value is estimated at around 18 million euros, a sum within the reach of the Italian club.

Milan's management is awaiting the conclusion of negotiations in the coming days to meet coach Massimiliano Allegri's desire to sign a replacement for Hernandez before the start of the new season.
