According to German journalist Florian Plettenberg, Frankfurt aims to maintain its core squad in preparation for participating in the Champions League next season, making Ekitike's retention a priority in their tactical plans.

Nevertheless, Frankfurt officials are aware that the player may receive official offers during this month, especially with Liverpool's continued interest, alongside movements from Newcastle United and Manchester United.

Ekitike had a remarkable season with Frankfurt, where he played 33 matches, scoring 15 goals and assisting 8 others, making him an enticing target in the transfer market, while the German club's stance remains clear: they will hold onto the player unless substantial offers come in that change their position.
