The future of Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma at Paris Saint-Germain remains unclear as his contract nears its end and the club has not yet initiated any renewal negotiations.

Donnarumma's contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires in June 2026, but he is effectively entering his last season with the team without clarity on his continuation.

According to French newspaper "L'Équipe", the Parisian management has decided to determine the fate of the Italian goalkeeper after the conclusion of the Club World Cup.

Donnarumma has had an outstanding season with PSG, winning the domestic treble of the league, cup, and super cup, in addition to the UEFA Champions League title for the first time in the club's history.

The team has also qualified for the final of the Club World Cup 2025 to face Chelsea on Sunday evening at MetLife Stadium.

Donnarumma has participated in 52 matches this season, keeping a clean sheet in 22 of them and conceding 41 goals.

It is worth noting that the international goalkeeper joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2021 on a free transfer after leaving AC Milan, amid recent reports linking him to a move to Inter Milan should the French club decide to sell him.
