The Italian club Fiorentina announced today that it has officially signed coach Stefano Pioli to lead the first team for the next 3 seasons, following his departure from coaching Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia at the end of last season.
Fiorentina clarified in its statement that Pioli signed a contract that extends until June 30, 2028, marking his return to the team for a second term after previously coaching it between 2017 and 2019.
Pioli is considered one of the prominent names in the club's history, having played for Fiorentina between 1989 and 1995 before later returning as a coach.
Pioli is scheduled to be officially presented to the club's fans on Monday, July 14, and he will hold a press conference to speak to the media on Wednesday, July 16.
