Botafogo officially announced its contract with the 35-year-old Italian coach David Ancelotti to take over the management of the first team until the end of the 2026 season.

Ancelotti arrived in Brazil this morning via Galeão Airport, where he immediately began working with the team at the training center along with the new coaching staff, which includes his Spanish assistant Luis Tevitenet, British Andrew Mangan, and Italian fitness coach Luca Gera.

David has extensive experience, having served as an assistant to Carlo Ancelotti in the Brazilian national team and previously worked with major clubs such as Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, and Everton.

This deal reflects a strategic step in enhancing Botafogo's sports project, which is based on innovation, ambition, and international leadership, aligning with the vision for the team's development.

David Ancelotti is considered one of the most promising young coaches in the world of football, possessing direct experience at the highest levels of European competition, and has actively contributed to developing successful training methodologies under the supervision of his father, Carlo Ancelotti.
