Tuesday 08-07-2025
The Disciplinary Committee of the International Football Federation announced today, Tuesday, the suspension of Paris Saint-Germain duo Willian Pachu and Lucas Hernandez for two matches, following their red cards in the match against Bayern Munich in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup.

The duo will be unavailable for the team until the end of the tournament currently taking place in the United States, as they will miss the anticipated semi-final match against Real Madrid next Wednesday, in addition to missing the potential final next Sunday if Paris Saint-Germain qualifies.

Pachu received a direct red card in the 81st minute after a strong challenge on Leon Goretzka, while Lucas Hernandez received a red card in the second minute of stoppage time after hitting Raphael Guerreiro with his elbow.

Despite the numerical disadvantage, Paris Saint-Germain managed to secure the match against Bayern Munich with a second goal scored by Ousmane Dembélé in the dying moments, ensuring the team a place in the semi-finals and continuing their journey in the tournament.
