Al-Hilal bid farewell to the FIFA Club World Cup after losing to Brazilian Fluminense 1-2 in the quarter-finals last Friday.
Koulibaly wrote on his account on the platform 'X': 'We wanted this FIFA Club World Cup to be a special unforgettable moment for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, for Al-Hilal, for all the fans, and most importantly, for us as a team.'
The Al-Hilal star continued: 'It is unfortunate that our journey ended in the quarter-finals; we gave everything, but it was not meant to be.'
Koulibaly added: 'I am grateful to God for the moments we shared in the tournament, hoping for a better season in the future; we will continue to push to make you dream again.'
