The Most Important Scenes from Diogo Jota's Funeral
Saturday 05-07-2025
Today, Saturday, the funeral of Liverpool striker Diogo Jota, who died in a car accident along with his brother two days ago, was held in Portugal.

One of the notable aspects was the presence of his national team colleague Ruben Neves, a player for Al Hilal, despite having played just hours earlier in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup, which his team lost to Brazilian Fluminense, and the same goes for Joao Cancelo.

Neves, known for his close friendship with Jota, who he played alongside in the national team, Porto, and Wolverhampton, appeared to be deeply affected by the loss of his friend Jota.

Another point of interest was the absence of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah at the funeral, despite the attendance of many current and former Liverpool players, along with the coaching staff and club officials.

Additionally, Liverpool's gesture of carrying a bouquet of flowers in the shape of the player's jersey with his number on it was noteworthy.
