Everton Football Club has officially announced the renewal of defender Jarrod Branthwaite's contract for an additional five years, keeping him with the team until the summer of 2030.

The renewal of Branthwaite's contract comes amid interest from several major clubs in the Champions League seeking his services, primarily Chelsea and Tottenham, but Everton has succeeded in retaining one of its most prominent defensive talents.

According to Sky Sports, negotiations for the renewal began last month at the request of head coach David Moyes, despite three years remaining on his previous contract, to ensure the player's continued involvement in the club's sporting project.

This move by Everton's management is part of their plan to retain key players in the team, amid attempts from major clubs to sign the player during the summer transfer window.
