Regarding his relationship with Pep Guardiola, the City coach, he said: "He is a wonderful person; he came to congratulate me on this victory, he is undoubtedly the best coach in the world."
He described the victory over City, saying: "It was as if we climbed a mountain without oxygen, but the credit goes to the players who fought and played from their hearts, as they gave everything they had, even the substitutes added a lot to the team."
He concluded: "The players had an amazing tournament, especially Nasser Al-Dawsari who was fantastic, and Sergej Milinković-Savić who excelled in ball progression; he is physically special and helped us a lot, as did Lodi with Ruben Neves, Cancelo, and Marcos Leonardo, while Bono is having an amazing tournament."
