
Officially: Los Angeles Announces the Termination of Olivier Giroud's Contract
The American club Los Angeles has officially announced the mutual termination of its contract with French striker Olivier Giroud.
The club clarified in its statement that the upcoming match against Vancouver, on Sunday, June 29, will be Giroud's last in the Los Angeles jersey in Major League Soccer.
John Torrington, the co-president and general manager of the club, commented, "Olivier has been a model professional throughout his time with us, instilling a spirit of humility and victory within the team, and he has been a wonderful ambassador for the club both on and off the field."
For his part, Giroud said, "I thank the fans, my teammates, and the coaching staff for this wonderful experience. I am proud of my contribution to the club's success, from winning the cup last season to participating in the Club World Cup, and this period will remain a special memory for me and my family."
Giroud is expected to return to the French league through Lille, starting a new chapter in his football career.
