Saturday 21-06-2025
Nottingham Forest Football Club has announced the renewal of its Portuguese coach Nuno Espírito Santo's contract for an additional three years, allowing him to remain at the helm of the coaching staff until the summer of 2028, following an exceptional season in which he led the team to historic achievements.

The renewal decision came from the club's owner, Evangelos Marinakis, in appreciation of the significant work Nuno accomplished during the 2024/25 season, where he led Forest to its best position in the English league in 30 years and secured qualification for European competitions for the first time since the 1995/96 season.

Nuno achieved remarkable results during the season, most notably winning away against Liverpool and Manchester United for the first time in 55 and 30 years respectively, in addition to leading the team to the longest consecutive winning streak in the Premier League since 1967.

This brilliance was crowned with him receiving three awards as the best coach in the English league during the months of October, December, and March, making him the most awarded in the 2024/25 season.

Nuno Santo's continuation represents a confirmation of the management's commitment to continue its ambitious sports project and build on the successes achieved in the past season.
