Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, the head coach of Al Hilal, has made a direct request to his club's management to sign defender Alessandro Bastoni from Inter Milan, in preparation for the upcoming season.

Journalist Nicola Schira revealed that Al Hilal has submitted an official offer to acquire Bastoni's services, in response to a recommendation from Inzaghi, who considers him a key piece to strengthen the backline.

Despite the tempting Saudi offer, Bastoni rejected the idea of moving to the Roshan League, preferring to continue with Inter Milan, affirming his full commitment to the Italian club for an additional season.

Inzaghi's emotional appeal, who previously worked with Bastoni at Inter, was not enough to change the defender's stance, which was clear in his insistence on sticking with his current team's project.

This attempt is part of broader Al Hilal movements to reinforce the team's ranks with strong signings, in preparation for entering the new season with a lineup capable of competing both locally and continentally.
