Recent English media reports have revealed new developments regarding the future of Swedish striker Alexander Isak, a player for Newcastle United, amid strong interest from Liverpool in acquiring him during the summer transfer window.

According to what was reported by the "Liverpool Echo" newspaper, Isak is considered the top choice for Liverpool's management to strengthen the center forward position, as part of the club's plan to bolster its squad in preparation for the new season and to compete for both the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League titles.

Reports have linked Isak's potential transfer to Liverpool with his refusal to renew his contract with Newcastle, which could open the door for negotiations with the Reds in the upcoming period.
