Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos appeared in a press statement after the 4-0 victory over Atletico Madrid in the first round of the group stage of the Club World Cup.

The Brazilian defender said: "I am very happy with the current level of the team. Our coach is very demanding; we have won the Champions League, and we continue to give our best effort."

He added: "The team, with its young players and their efficiency, maintains its level. The competition is long, and anything can happen, but we will fight in every match."

Regarding Luis Enrique: "When things are going well, he motivates us, and when they are not going well, he works on improvement. He excels in motivation and the mental aspect. It’s a daily philosophy. It’s a dynamic where we know what to do, how to train, and how to play."
